Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. George DeCharms. Pendleton advises the DeCharms rest in Florida for a few more weeks before returning to Bryn Athyn and giving Theodore Pitcairn an answer about whether or not he will be able to travel to South Africa. Pendleton reports that there is nothing new in Bryn Athyn except that he turned 60 yesterday and received a visit from the elementary school children. He writes, “As I looked in their young faces I tried to think of myself as they evidently thought of me, an old man. It is strange, but I shall never get used to the idea.”
