Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. George DeCharms, 1925-02-10
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. George DeCharms in St. Petersburgh, FL, USA. DeCharms’ letter was read at the Ministers’ Meetings. The ministers were happy to hear that DeCharms’ health is steadily improving, and they expressed their regret that DeCharms could not be present. This year’s meetings were especially intense with strong feelings and deep thought “centering around the world old difference between the simple and the more sophisticated.” Pendleton reports that Mr. (Eldred) Iungerich and Mr. (Fred) Waelchli were the chief actors in this debate. Pendleton missed having DeCharms’ help at the meetings, but Mr. (Will) Caldwell was able to step in and take his place. Pendleton saw Fidelia (Asplundh) at a “dramatic performance”, and she assured Pendleton of DeCharms’ steady recovery. Pendleton send greetings to the Nelsons.
