Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Joseph S. David, 1918-02-13
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Joseph S. David in Denver, CO, USA. Pendleton thanks David for sending him a copy of Mr. Landenberger’s letter and David’s reply. Pendleton thinks David is correct that the New Church’s attitude has not changed; The doctrine has always been interpreted with a spirit of “simple and abiding loyalty to the truth as it has been revealed, and a firm determination to oppose any and all evasions of it.” In Bryn Athyn, they have just held meetings of the Consistory, the Ministers’ Council, the Executive Committee, and the District Assembly. Pendleton sends best wishes to Mrs. David and Llewellyn (David).
