Letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary to Rev. Andrew Czerny, 1919-01-08
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary to Rev. Andrew Czerny in London, England. F. Pendleton gives Czerny notice that the Bishop expects to sail for England in about two weeks. As a result of overworking, the Bishop has been ill since Thanksgiving and finds it imperative to make a radical change to recover his health. Theodore Pitcairn convinced the Bishop to join him on his trip to South Africa to visit Fred Gyllenhaal, and they will be sailing there via England. The Bishop expects to visit all the Church centers in Europe on his way back home once his health has improved. They do not expect the Bishop back in Bryn Athyn until June.
