Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Andrew Czerny in London, England. Pendleton has received Czerny’s letter of March 10th. He is happy to hear that the controversy which has been disturbing the Church for years is no longer active in Colchester or London; In Bryn Athyn, the pervious center of the disturbance, they now refer to it as a thing of the past. Pendleton believes the present duty of the Church is to hold together through the war. Pendleton reports that 18 young men from Bryn Athyn have volunteered for the army so far and only two have been rejected. Pendleton wishes Czerny could be with them in Bryn Athyn as they prepare for school closing and the June ministers’ meetings.
