Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. William B. Caldwell in Glenview, IL, USA. Pendleton acknowledges Caldwell’s letter of Nov. 6th. Pendleton discusses the governmental issues currently faced by the Glenview Society; The goal should be to balance ecclesiastical authority with the will of the people. Pendleton would like to hear from Caldwell regarding the committee appointed to prepare the Social Song Book. Mrs. Smith has been unsatisfied with Caldwell’s decisions and has brought the matter of the Song Book to Pendleton. Pendleton does not wish to arbitrate in a matter of taste between Mrs. Smith and Caldwell.
