 Item
Identifier: RG.004.01

Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Reginald W. Brown in Maseru, Basutoland. Pendleton was happy to hear from Brown about his work in Basutoland and to hear that Brown’s health has been improving. Although the faculty is strained, the Academy has agreed to extend Brown’s leave of absence for another year. Pendleton feels the work Brown is doing with Theo (Pitcairn) in Basutoland presents a unique opportunity. Pendleton notes that it appears attendance at the Academy will be higher in the upcoming year. They have 40 boys applying for scholarship compared to 15 girls. Their recent International Council was successful in creating a spirit of unity amongst the Church’s ministers from various parts of the world. Pendleton reports that Augusta (Pendleton) and the children are well.
