Letter from Rev. Hendrik W. Boef to N.D. Pendleton, 1933-04-18
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from Rev. Hendrik W. Boef to N.D. Pendleton in Bryn Athyn, USA. Boef encloses two applications for General Church membership; The application for Lawson Cooper is unsigned, but Boef hopes it will still be acceptable. In Los Angeles, they are looking for a new place of worship after the owner of the last place became troublesome. They are trying to find a house that will be big enough to hold services and also serve as the pastor’s residence. For now, services are being held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. F.G. Davis. Boef is looking forward to the next issue of the Life; He would like to read the published papers from the last Council Meeting at his next doctrinal class. Boef reports that the Los Angeles society is currently undisturbed by the present controversy (i.e., the Hague controversy).
