Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Albert Bjorck, 1932-02-10
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Albert Bjorck in Woodgreen, Salisbury, England. Pendleton has received Bjorck’s reports and letter of Dec. 31st. The Mid-year meetings have just ended. The Ministers’ Meetings where devoted to the subject of the state of the Church and the responsibility of priests when marrying those of different religions. Pendleton raised the question because he feels that the minister has a very definite responsibility in that situation, and he sensed a growing difference of opinion amongst the ministers on this matter. The result of the meetings was an increased sense of responsibility, which Pendleton sees as a step in the right direction. Pendleton is glad to hear of the results of Bjorck’s visits to Bristol and wishes it were possible for Bjorck to move there. Pendleton reports that Theo (Pitcairn) has written to him from time to time and has expressed the idea that Mr. (Ernst) Pfeiffer, and possibly some others who advocate for the Hague doctrines, speaks from the Lord.
