Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Albert Bjorck, 1931-07-17
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Albert Bjorck in Woodgreen, Salisbury, England. Pendleton acknowledges Bjorck’s letter of June 6th. In response he writes, “The suggestion that we in Bryn Athyn may be inspired by jealousy in our attitude toward Mr. Pfeiffer’s views is, or course, gratuitous.” Their view is rather that derivative doctrines must be tested purely upon the teachings of the Writings, and that it is improper to reflect on a man’s spiritual state when examining his teachings. Pendleton hopes that Bjorck will meet with Bishop (George) DeCharms.
