Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Albert Bjorck, 1927-07-18
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Albert Bjorck in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Pendleton has received Bjorck’s letter of June 4th. Pendleton had hoped to hold a meeting of the Executive Committee before answering but has not been successful yet. Bjorck has written about the possibility of Mr. Canals coming to study for eh ministry in Bryn Athyn. Pendleton has no objection to this, but he his not sure that the General Church would be able to contribute the requested $500. Pendleton is concerned about Canals’ age, but he feels that this opportunity may be a “providential opening” for the General Church in Spain. There is also the possibility that the theological student, Mr. Boef, may be placed in Spain in the future as his native language is Spanish. Pendleton will write to Bjorck again about Mr. Canals once the Executive Committee has met. Names mentioned: Mr. Canals, Mr. Boef, Mr. (Ernst) Pfeiffer
