Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Albert Bjorck in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Pendleton has received Bjorck’s letter of April 4th with an enclosed letter from Mr. Anderson of Valencia. Pendleton discusses the prospects of the New Church in Spain. Pendleton would like to support Anderson’s work; They will send him a copy of the General Church liturgy and help him where possible. Pendleton reports that they now have a student in Theological School whose native language is Spanish. It is possible this student may be able to visit Spain in the summer of 1928, by which time he will be ordained. Pendleton gathers from Anderson’s letter that there is not a New Church Society anywhere in Spain yet. There is a member of the New Church living near Barcelona in Villamieva y Geltru, Mrs. W. A. Bodfish, nee Blair of Pittsburgh, but her husband is not part of the Church. In a handwritten note at the bottle of the letter, Pendleton writes that he in now thinking of going to the London Assembly by way of Spain.
