Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gerrit Barger, 1914-02-05
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gerrit Barger in the Hague, Belgium. Pendleton acknowledges receipt of Barger’s letter and translation of the Doctrine of the Lord (“De Leer Van Nieuwe Jeruzalem over Den Heer”); Pendleton writes that this will always be regarded as one of his most valuable possessions. Pendleton has followed with interest the news from the Hague and Brussels; He believes the work of Barger and Mr. (Rev. Ernst) Deltenre will lay a firm foundation for future Church growth in Holland and Belgium. Gerrit (Barger) appears happy and well in Bryn Athyn; Pendleton understands he is “a general favorite” at the Academy. Pendleton and his wife (Beatrice) send greetings to Barger, Mrs. Barger, Miss Barger, and all friends.
