Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gustaf Baeckström in Stockholm, Sweden. Pendleton has received Baeckstrom’s letter of May 1st recounting his most recent missionary trip, and he has passed it along to Mr. Caldwell to publish highlights in the Life. The enclosed records of baptism and membership applications have also been received and processed. Pendleton notes that Mr. Lundh is now in a position to cooperate with Baeckstrom more closely. Pendleton hopes Mrs. Ahren will be successful in bringing her husband into the Church. Pendleton believes that “a woman’s affectional influence in this respect is very potent in case the husband has the capacity and interest to enter into spiritual things.” In Bryn Athyn, they are getting ready for summer vacation, and Pendleton is looking forward to going up to the mountains, although he will have to take his work with him to prepare for teaching the next year.
