Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gustaf Baeckström, 1931-10-22
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gustaf Baeckström in Stockholm, Sweden. Bishop De Charms has just returned from Sweden and given a positive report of his trip. He has informed Pendleton of the “mental conditions” which affected Senta (Centervall) when her accident occurred, and Pendleton is happy to hear she is now making a recovery. Pendleton notes with interest Baeckstrom’s account of his first missionary trip to Finland and the Island of Aland. Tomorrow, Pendleton will drive to the Adirondacks for a weekend away with Mrs. (Beatrice) Pendleton, their daughter Ora (Pendleton), and Mr. and Mrs. Geoffrey Childs. Pendleton hopes to establish a permanent summer camp there on Indian Lake; His doctor has advised rest and change during the summer for his health.
