Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gustaf Baeckström in Stockholm, Sweden. Pendleton acknowledges Baeckstrom’s letters, with enclosed membership applications, of June 2nd and 26th. Rune Boyesen’s application has been processed; Pendleton is very pleased to have a son of Josef Boyesen join the Church. Pendleton thinks Baeckstrom’s decision regarding Ebba Christiernsson was wise given the circumstances, and he is happy to hear that Mr. Smart’s health is improving. Bishop De Charms will soon visit Stockholm after traveling through Europe. Pendleton is anxious about the future of the Church given the current upset state of the world. Pendleton will retire to the Adirondacks for a month’s rest with his family soon.
