Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gustaf Baeckström, 1930-02-24
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gustaf Baeckström in Stockholm, Sweden. Pendleton acknowledges Baeckstrom’s letter of Jan. 4th with statistical report for 1929. Hans Giobel has arrived in Bryn Athyn. He is not sure yet if he will study for the ministry, but Pendleton thinks that coming to Bryn Athyn was the best way for Giobel to decide what he really wants. The midyear meetings have ended. At the joint meeting, Pendleton made a move to have a vote at the upcoming Assembly to approve of an Assistant Bishop of the General Church. After the meetings, Pendleton went with Mrs. (Beatrice) Pendleton and their daughter-in-law Doris to Atlantic City for rest. Pendleton looks forward to seeing Baeckstrom and his wife at the Assembly in June.
