Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary, Freda Pendleton, to Rev. Gustaf Baeckström in Stockholm, Sweden. F. Pendleton acknowledges the receipt of Baeckstrom’s letter to the Bishop of December 12th which arrived after he sailed for England a week ago. N.D. Pendleton and Rev. Theodore Pitcairn are traveling together; They hope to visit Europe, Africa, and Australia, but their plans are uncertain. N.D. Pendleton probably cannot visit Sweden due to the “unsettled conditions” there, but he will notify Baeckstrom if he is able to come after all. F. Pendleton’s father (W.F. Pendleton) has taken the Bishop’s place in Bryn Athyn; He presided over the recent Ministers’ meetings, and he sends congratulations to Baeckstrom on the success of the Circle in Sweden. The General Assembly will be held in Bryn Athyn next October; The Cathedral will be ready for dedication and they hope most of the soldiers will be home by then. The membership application of Mrs. Agnes Megnell has been received and accepted; She is welcomed into the Church and will be sent a signed certificate.
