Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gustaf Baeckström in Stockholm, Sweden. Pendleton acknowledges Baeckstrom's letter of Feb. 17th. Pendleton does not belive it is advisable to encourage a woman of Miss Valentin's age to travel to America with the hope of employment in the Academy; It is possible they could arrange to employ her, but the war has left the financial situation of the Academy uncertian. Pendleton has received Baeckstrom's letter of March 26th enclosing 6 baptism cards, 3 of which represent new converts to the Church. Pendleton would like to meet with Mr. Bronniche next time he is in Sweden. he hopes Baeckstrom may be able to pick up the General Church work in Gothenberg which was undertaken three years ago. Pendleton is glad to hear that Mr. Bromberg and his three sons have joined the Stockholm Circle, and he hopes that the attacks against the Circle made by Mr. Manby's society will be ignored. In Bryn Athyn, they are preparing for the ministers' meetings in June.
