Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Gustaf Baeckström in Stockholm, Sweden. Pendleton has received Baeckström's letter of Oct. 30th; Pendleton notes with interest Baeckstrom's marriage, the baptism of the Liden baby, and the return of Mrs. Swaneskog. Alfred Stroh wrote that he was coming to Bryn Athyn, but Pendleton hasn't heard from him since his initial letter. Pendleton tells Baeckstrom about the recent Joint meeting in Bryn Athyn; "Fortunately no attempt was made in the way of doctrinal pronouncement, but there was much out-speaking, which I think will serve to relieve the situation." Pendleton believes time will be the solution to some of their difficulties. Mr. (John) Pitcairn was unable to attend the meetings becasue of his health, and he does not seem to be improving.
