Pendleton has received letters from Europe which have made him decide to prolong his visit to Europe. As he will no longer be able to attend the usual Fall assemblies in the US, the Consistory has agreed to ask Mr. Doering to act as the Bishop's representative at these assemblies. Deoring will attend the assemblies in Pittsburgh and Glenview, and possibly also Toronto and Cincinnati. Pendleton will talk to Alden more about this when Alden is in town for the upcoming Minister's Meetings.
