Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary, Freda Pendleton, to Rev. Karl R. Alden in Philadephia, PA, USA. F. Pendleton tells Alden that N.D. Pendleton has had to leave to prevent a serious nervous break down. Before he left, N.D. Pendleton received Alden's letters of Nov. 25th and 28th, but F. Pendleton is not sure how fully he was able to read them, as he had been confined to his bed most of the time. The doctor recommended a month's rest, but F. Pendleton thinks N.D. Pendleton will be back in a week or 10 days becasue it is hard to keep him away from his work. F. Pendleton writes that Alden can wait 2 or 3 weeks for a response from N.D. Pendleton about him baptizing Alden's new baby, or else Alden can ask someone else to do it. F. Pendleton congratulates Alden and Ersa (Alden) on having another son, and on the success of both the Rally and of the Fair.
