Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Karl R. Alden in Allentown, PA, USA. Pendleton writes that Alden's missionary efforts have been very encouraging to everyone back in Bryn Athyn. The prospects for the church in Scranton (PA) look promising, they just need to find a minister who is able to preach there regularly. If Mr. Pool is able to keep the people there interested in the church between episcopal visits, Pendleton thinks they may be able to send a minister from time to time. Alden's work in Allentown (PA) has also been encouraging. Pendleton is sure that Mr. (Enoch) Price will cooperate with any plans for future church development there. The Academy schools have had to postpone opening until October 2nd, in order to comply with the State Board of Health. Pendleton sends affectionate regards to Ersa (Alden) and Theodore (Pitcairn).
