Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Karl Alden and Rev. Theodore Pitcairn, 1916-07-12
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Karl Alden and Theodore Pitcairn in Bath, New York, USA. Pendleton congratulates Alden and Pitcairn on their missionary efforts in New York and urges them to keep up the good work. Pendleton acknowledges Alden's letter of the 7th and Pitcairn's letter of the 10th. These letters were of great interest, and it is hoped that the evangelization efforts by Alden and Pitcairn will help revitalize the Church, carrying it forward into a new state. Pendleton advises that speaking and selling books in the streets and squares will probably yield better results than giving talk in lecture halls. Even if they do not accomplish anything else, selling the books will be worth the effort.
