Alden while the bishop out of town on church episcopal visits. to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Washington, D.C. re difference between Convention and General Church as to Writings, Conjugial Love; specific publications referenced, both General Church and Convention. Wright being sent "Principles of the Academy." Convention pamphlets available from their book rooms for two cents. Alden recommends also purchasing New Church Life for August 1909 containing Academy comments about Convention's "Declaration," summarizes difference of how Writings viewed, Divine or not. Convention quote in Messenger referenced that "the New Church would not prosper till it 'cut loose from the Swedenborgian dock and sailed for the open sea.'"
