Press book letter and one typed transcript re pastoral selection process; Waelchli in Baltimore, Berlin; Baltimore financial circumstances; Waelchli described; WFP travel mentioned. Response to March 24 letter, pastoral selection process outlined: 1.)Members send formal letter with wish to start process; 2.)Carmel Church secretary calls society meeting, WFP submits 3-4 names; 3.)Secretary notifies WFP of choice. Church members may provide input on names nominated. WFP expects Mr. Waelchli to be one name, as he cannot remain in Baltimore due to finances, living on $500/year. Executive Committee met March 25, WFP asked for another $500/year to be added, arrangement to extend over several years. Answer not at this time. Fred W. liked by all, WFP describes, but Baltimore reserve fund exhausted by May. WFP asks RR to share letter with his brother and Jacob Stroh. Glad to hear Stebbing liked as teacher, WFP hoped could be pastor too. WFP upcoming visits to Erie, Renovo mentioned. Names mentioned: Fred Waelchli; Jacob Stroh; Stebbing; Mrs. (Rudolph) Roschman.
