New Church morality attack a surprise, "the New Church body as a whole will suffer in the public estimation." Mention of "vile remarks of the opposing lawyer in Lancaster, inspired by McGeorge." Trustees had not taught the "doctrines of Emanuel Swedenborg as required by the will, and therefore were not entitled to the bequest.... for this reason neither were we entitled to the bequest, for the teaching of them in their entirety was contrary to law and public policy." The judge thought something in the second part of Conjugial Love contrary to civil law, so Kramph "therefore could not legally make a bequest for the promulgation of such teachings." Judge gave property to natural heirs, decision being appealed to supreme court. Jenkintown paper wrote friendly article, probably by someone in Huntingdon Valley.
