Identifier: RG.004.01

Scope and Contents

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Waelchli in Wyoming, Ohio, USA. Two copies, one on General Church of the New Jerusalem letterhead. Pendleton has received Waelchli’s report of his trip to the west coast. Pendleton is interested in Waelchli’s proposal that he and Mr. Boef split the field of work on the west coast. If Boef’s health will permit him to cover the needs of California, Pendleton believes this would be a decided advantage for the Church. The Executive Committee would have to provide Boef with appropriations to cover his travel needs, and Pendleton wonders if Waelchli has considered the financial side of this arrangement. Tonight Pendleton will travel to Pittsburgh for the dedication of their new church building. A number of people from Bryn Athyn and Glenview plan to attend, including Fred Gyllenhaal. Pendleton hopes to discuss the possibility of regular visits to Montreal with Gyllenhaal as he has been made aware of a group there who would welcome his presence. Pendleton hopes to see Waelchli in Pittsburgh. Names mentioned: Mr. (Henry) Boef, Fred Gyllenhaal
