Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Waelchli, 1930-05-10
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Waelchli in Wyoming, Ohio, USA. Two copies, one on General Church of the New Jerusalem letterhead. Pendleton has received Waelchli’s letters of April 19th and 29th. The Day family is planning a move from Detroit to either Chicago or Glenview, and Pendleton admits that he is always a little disappointed when Church families relocate. In Bryn Athyn, they have just dedicated their new Assembly Hall. Leonard (Gyllenhaal?) provided 300 chairs, but they were still short on seats. The dedication was followed by a meal prepared for 200 people. Pendleton writes, “Our new hall is a notable addition and will fill a great use in the future. It was dedicated to the use of assemblies, great and small.” Names mentioned: Day Family, Leonard (Gyllenhaal?)
