Pendleton has received Waelchli’s report of February 27th. He informs Waelchli that Alvin Nelson was recently in Bryn Athyn and spoke highly of Waelchli’s visit to Glenview. Pendleton writes that they have been “having a time of it” in Bryn Athyn with their new building project. Disagreements over building plans have led to discontent being voiced against the Episcopal Office in general. Pendleton writes, “I have all along been aware of more or less disaffection in certain quarters, but this is the first occasion on which it has found a voice and leadership.” He reports that the current administration was sustained by a vote of 111 to 24.
