Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Waelchli, 1925-11-19
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Waelchli. Pendleton has received Waelchli’s report of November 7th regarding his recent trip to Windsor, Detroit, Erie, and Youngstown. Pendleton finds it interesting that Waelchli was able to gather 10 people together in Youngstown. He writes that many of their people seem to have a migratory instinct, but that the Church must keep track of them as best they can. When enough of them settle in a given place, they must be prepared to begin the work of society building. Pendleton visited Denver on his recent trip west and thinks “the right kind of work sustained for several years ought to put that Society on its feet.” He recognizes the difficulty involved but thinks Henry (Heinrichs) has the strength of character to succeed. Pendleton looks forward to seeing Waelchli in Bryn Athyn for the February meetings. Names mentioned: Henry (Heinrichs)
