Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Waelchli, 1925-08-10
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Waelchli in Hollywood, California, USA. Pendleton has received Waelchli’s recent letter and report. He requests that Waelchli call together a meeting of the Los Angeles New Church people to hear their thoughts on the possibility of the assignment of Rev. Cranch as their Pastor. Cranch has recently returned from a trip to the west coast and would like to move his family there to take up Church work full-time. He has served the Philadelphia society for the past two years with mixed results, in part at least because he has had to devote much of his time to his business affairs. Pendleton writes about Cranch, “. . .while he has been trained as a business man, and can readily support his family by that means, he is specifically in love with Church work, and desires above all things to be an active minister of the Church.” Names mentioned: Mr. (Raymond) Cranch, Mrs. (Florence?) Cranch
