Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Waelchli, 1924-05-19
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Waelchli. Pendleton has received Waelchli’s report of May 13th with reference to his trip to Windsor, Detroit, and Erie. He regrets the decline in Erie’s prospects owing to several removals and a lack of interest. “However,” he comments, “there is always an upturn if we wait for it and waiting patiently is a part of our business.” Pendleton recently held a successful joint assembly of Washington and Baltimore with meetings taking place in both places. He will visit Toronto and Kitchener this week. They are trying to secure a new pastor for Toronto, but so far George DeCharms, Homer Synnestvedt, and Gilbert Smith have each declined the call. Names mentioned: George DeCharms, Homer Synnestvedt, Gilbert Smith
