Letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Waelchli, 1923-11-15
Scope and Contents
Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton to Rev. Fred E. Waelchli in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Pendleton is pleased to hear that there is hope for the Church group in Middleport, Ohio. He writes, “The old root seems to have some vitality left. All things considered this is not a little remarkable. Certainly we must nourish it as long as it bears fruit.” Pendleton has heard nothing from Harry Barnitz and Atlanta. He does not think the Church can afford more than an occasional visit there until its ministers and means increase. In Bryn Athyn, they are preparing for the February meetings, which will run from January 31st through February 5th. This year, the Supper will open the meetings on the 1st. Pendleton comments that he “regard[s] the meetings in their totality as a celebration of the founding of the General Church.” Names mentioned: Harry Barnitz
