Scope and Contents
Bryn Athyn Stone Company was owned by the Pitcairn Family and used as a supplier of stone products (granite, crushed stone, coal) for the Cathedral and for customers in the surrounding area. These customers included local residents as well as larger and well-known customers such as the Hatboro-Horsham Turnpike, the Borough of Bryn Athyn, Horsham Township and George W. Elkins, Jr.This sub-series primarily consists of daily ledgers, timesheets, vouchers and delivery slips that document the day-to-day activites of the business.
