Contents: -assurances of trust & sincere friendship; does not believe she had any unpure intentions in sending the letter to his father**; will not cast his esteemed friend aside just to keep up appearances -apologies for not writing sooner; work has been so confining that he avoids pen & paper in his free time; has only been sleeping 5-6.5 hours a night for the last month -Cincinnati organ gives almost universal satisfaction; a few people are determined to find fault with it because their advice on the matter was disregarded -upcoming German Saengerfest (or Sängerfest) wont amount to much except in the lager beer line -occasional feelings of estrangement from New Church truths are a passing state; New Church teachings are an anchor to his being; would be “a specimen of the most awful insanity” without them -will Gertie send a photograph so he can see how she looks now? He has not had any photographs taken yet as he does not desire to make so much beauty public
