Contents: -Childs given enclosed letter by Miss Hogan -“In returning it I cannot forbear expressing pleasure in seeing my own feelings so happily expressed by Mr. Pendleton. They are shared I know by every man and woman in the Academy, and I only trust that you realize one half the sympathy that has been awakened on behalf of yourself and your father by the infernal lies of our enemies.”
