Handwritten letter from William M. Carter in Trenton, N.J. to Miss Starkey, possibly Gertrude Starkey Pitcairn. 1 page. Decorative initials ("WC"?) pressed into top center of page.

Contents: -New Church, excepting 1 member, will be down (to Philadelphia?) on Sunday if it is pleasant (i.e. good weather?) -Claudia sings “Life is a blessing, not worth possessing, Woman too, if truth be told” which Carter thinks is “quite unsound” -Childs, Mrs. Furman, & Carter wished to be remembered to all the “Saints”
