Letter from Frank Ballou to Miss Starkey, 1878-06-14
Scope and Contents
Handwritten letter from Franklin Ballou in Georgetown, Colorado, to “My dear Miss Starkey,” possibly Gertude Starkey Pitcairn. 1 page, double-sided.
Contents:
-Ballou owes 15 letters to friends in Philadelphia; will attempt to write them all tonight
-if externals made internals, Ballou’s spiritual regeneration would be quite advanced at his current celestial altitude, and he would make everyone come visit him
-wonders if New Church people picture cold & ragged crags when reading about celestial angels living on the mountains; has seen many beautiful places in Colorado mountains that are reminiscent of the banks of the Susquehanna River
