Handwritten letter from Pauline "Paul" Starkey Wells in Woodside, CA to her sister, Gertrude Starkey Pitcairn. Seal pressed into the upper lefthand corner with the word “CAREW” surrounded by a laurel wreath. Parts of the letter are severely faded.
Line across the top of the first page reads, “Please never read my letters to you aloud.”
