He cannot offer any specific criticism until they have tried using it for a while, which they may not be able to do until the Summer, as the morning services in Glenview are too short. However, Pendleton will try it, and he will wait for the Summer if it does not work.

Pendleton is in favor of W.F.P.’s decision to come to Chicago if Pendleton receives a call to be Pastor of the Pittsburgh Society. If Pendleton receives the call, he and Beatrice will expect W.F.P.. Pendleton has begun using the new order of service for Friday evening services. The people are happy with it, and it is far beyond anything they have used before. Pendleton writes that the society is shocked by Mr. Asplundh’s death, and he wonders what the Asplundh family will do without him. Regarding Pittsburgh, Pendleton believes the society should pay his (Pendleton’s) moving expenses if they decide to call him as their pastor.
