Pendleton has been placed in charge of the Church’s European field in order to relieve the Bishop of some of his duties. Pendleton notes that Fercken has decided to take advantage of the Bishop’s offer to pay for Fercken to visit Bryn Athyn. Pendleton writes that they will be glad to welcome Fercken to Bryn Athyn and they hope that his stay will be of mutual use and will benefit the General Church as a whole....

Typed letter from N.D. Pendleton's secretary, Freda Pendleton, to Rev. Gaston J. Fercken in Geneva, Switzerland. F. Pendleton acknowledges Fercken’s letter to the Bishop of Feb. 20th. The Bishop Emeritus (W.F. Pendleton) notes the withdrawal of Fercken and his family from the General Church, but the matter will have to be deferred until the Bishop returns in June or July.
